Viewing/Editing Encrypted Files

An encrypted file can be viewed or edited without decrypting it first, in one of two ways:
a) Click the File button in the Decrypt column and choose the encrypted file. Click the ViewEdit button and the file will be opened with the application associated with it.  E.g. a Word document will be opened with Microsoft Word.  Close the window when you are finised viewing or editing the file.
b) In File Explorer double-click on an encrypted file and it will be opened, if there is a copy of the Data Krypter open.  If the Data Krypter is closed it will be started and you'll be asked for your master password.

During this process the encrypted file is decrypted to a file in a newly created folder inside a random folder on your C: drive. Both the folder and the decrypted copy of the file have a randomly generated name.  When the file has been edited (determined by a change in it's date/time) it is re-encrypted back to the original location of the encrypted version.

Note: You can view/edit only one file at a time.
